SEATTLE, WA (June 20, 2016) — Your Credit Union Partner (YCUP) announced today that Terry Gresswell, has joined the firm as Senior Consultant, Compliance and Audit Services. In his new role, Gresswell will support the expansion of compliance and audit services, as well as represent YCUP at trade association educational events.

Scott Butterfield, CUDE, CUCE, CCUE, founded YCUP in 2011 to help mid-sized and smaller credit unions grow, become more relevant, and increase profitability. Today, the firm is the trusted advisor to hundreds of credit unions across the United States. YCUP specializes in strategic planning, loan and membership growth strategies, regulatory compliance and audit support, board governance, and community development. The firm has enjoyed five consecutive years of strong annual growth driven by credit union referrals – growth fueled, in part, by the demand for more compliance and audit support.

Gresswell has more than 25 years of compliance and audit experience among a diverse group of organizations, including smaller credit unions with less than $100 million in assets, banks with more than $1 billion in assets, and other for-profit businesses. His experience began in 1984 in the Audit Department of Puget Sound National Bank. In 1990, he was promoted to Commercial/Consumer Loan Officer with Puget Sound National Bank, where he had oversight of all branch operations and finance audits. In 1997, Gresswell was appointed Vice President of Operations at America West Bank where he had operational oversight of 40 branches. Responsibilities included policy, procedures, internal audits, and compliance. He also served as the controller for the General Ledger. Gresswell moved to Catholic Credit Union in 2003. As part of his compliance and audit oversight, he developed operational and compliance policies, and managed compliance and internal auditing. In November of 2011, Gresswell joined Big Island FCU, and was promoted to President/CEO in June of 2013. He retired in August to move back to Washington State to be closer to family. Gresswell and his wife, Sue, now live in University Place, Wash.
