Texas Bay Credit Union opens branch in League City, TX
HOUSTON, TX (April 6, 2016) — Continuing to implement the credit union’s branching strategy, Texas Bay opens a full-service retail branch in League City, TX. “The more people that join and use our products and services, the more we can return back value in terms of lower loan rates, higher deposit rates, low fees, and free services. We are taking this credit union model to other communities throughout the Houston area and thrilled to now serve the South Shore community!” explains Jesse Gutierrez, Texas Bay Credit Union’s President and CEO.
The credit union opened a retail branch on Feb. 16, 2016 located in the South Shore area, a developing community in League City, TX. South Shore Harbour is a master-planned community nestled along the south shores of Clear Lake and homes to thousands of families. Brian Ellis, Vice-President of Regional Branches and Marketing at Texas Bay Credit Union explains “the South Shore area matches our branch selection criteria including a mix of existing and new roof tops. We see signs of continued growth in the area and look forward to being part of the community.”
The new South Shore branch is located at 6640 South Shore Blvd., Suite #100, League City, TX 77573 and offers a wide range of amenities such as:

Branch operations at the HEB Bay Colony in-store branch moved to the new South Shore branch to provide more personal service. The new branch offers a spacious lobby with private Financial Service Representative stations to provide individual member service.

About Texas Bay Credit Union
Texas Bay Credit Union was formed on May 18, 1936 and was originally chartered as Houston Sinclair Refinery Employees’ Federal Credit Union. The meeting to form the credit union was held at the Pasadena High School in front of 225 people and was led by Mr. Bergeron, a representative of the federal government. A charter fee of $25.00 was paid to the U.S. Treasury to establish the credit union.
