TFCU continues to expand across the Sun City! The credit union broke ground on their ninth branch in Northwest El Paso (located at 1556 Resler Dr.) on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, to serve the growing community of West El Paso.
The TFCU Northwest branch will feature a drive-thru lane system with three ATM lanes, including a deposit ATM. The 5,630-square-foot facility will also house six offices, a safe deposit room and an online banking area within the spacious lobby.
The structure will incorporate an RGB color light feature that will be activated at night to make the glazed entrance of the building resemble an ambient color changing gem in the desert.
The construction of this project will impact the local economy by utilizing more than 50 local construction companies, suppliers, and vendors. Nearly 90% of the project cost will be reinvested into companies in the El Paso area by employing over 150 local trade workers. “Our city has seen massive growth, and we are proud to see TFCU develop alongside our community. Next year we will celebrate the grand opening of our Northwest branch and the first anniversary of our newly built Horizon branch. We believe in investing in our community and in our members,” said Alex Yu, TFCU VP of Marketing. TFCU was created by seven educators with a mere $3,000 more than 80 years ago and today boasts more than $675 million in assets and 60,000 members.
