The Family Credit Union, a not-for-profit financial cooperative headquartered in Davenport, recently announced the three recipients of its $3,000 scholarship program.
Each year, The Family provides three types of scholarships to its members and their families to support their higher education. This year, each recipient was awarded a $1,000 scholarship.
The different scholarships and their awardees include:
- Keith Ruefer Memorial Scholarship- Nidia Villalpando (Attending University of Iowa)
- Kevin Post Memorial Scholarship- Delainey Woodman (Attending University of Dubuque)
- Family Hispanic Scholarship- Anamaria Chavez (Attending University of Northern Iowa)
Each applicant is required to share their future plans, extracurricular activities, and answer a question about how this scholarship would benefit their future in higher education.
