The Friends of the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society and PenAir Credit Union swing for the green and earn Navy Marine-Corps Relief Society $50,000
PENSACOLA, FL (April 16, 2024) — The Friends of the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, Inc. (FNMCRS), a 501(c)(3) organization facilitated by PenAir Credit Union (PenAir), presented a check for $50,000 to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) of Pensacola. Funds were raised during the 24th Annual Friends of the NMCRS Charity Golf Tournament at Lost Key Golf Club in Pensacola, FL.
The donation will support the emergency financial needs of local military by funding programs like the Visiting Nurse Program in addition to Quick Assistance Loans, Budget for Baby Workshops, Emergency Travel Loans, Education Assistance, Health Education, Disaster Relief, Financial Assistance, and Counseling.
“During a beautiful day of golf and fundraising, we had the opportunity to support the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society,” says Lee Morgan, President and CEO of PenAir. “The annual golf tournament is circled on our calendars every year because of how much we look forward to spending time together out on the course with our business partners and vendors and giving back to an organization that provides such important support for our military and their families.”
Over the years, the annual tournament has helped raise more than $550,000 to further the mission of NMCRS at Naval Air Station Pensacola. The Pensacola office is ranked highly in the nation for receiving the most financial support from its local community.
