The “Hot and Fresh” sign is on at ElecTel Cooperative FCU

RALEIGH, NC (May 27, 2015) — ElecTel Cooperative Federal Credit Union is turning on the “hot loans now” sign for its members with another one day loan promotion. This one is themed around National Doughnut Day to be held on Friday, June 5th.

“We’ve brought in as much as $800,000 from our themed one day loan promotions in the past,” said CEO Nancy Long. “We offer one day loan promotions several times a year.  Members always look forward to them.”

While the idea for a Doughnut Day themed loan promotion is fresh, the idea of Doughnut Day dates back many years. The Salvation Army started National Donut Day during the Great Depression as a way to raise funds and bring awareness to The Salvation Army’s social service programs.

The promotion for ElecTel FCU was created by Your Marketing Co. Vice President Meg Robertson. “Rates on this special loan start at just 1.99%APR and are available only on June 5th,” Robertson stated.

ElecTel’s one day “Hot Loans Now” promotion concludes on Friday June 5th, but personal loan applications are being accepted online or in person now through that date.

Electel Cooperative Federal Credit Union is a member owned financial cooperative with membership open to consumers of all 27 North Carolina electric cooperatives as well as employees of all 27 North Carolina electric companies and their family members. Employees, directors, and officers of the electric and telephone cooperatives in North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Tennessee, and West Virginia are also eligible for membership.
