“American Heritage and The Foundation pledged to make a difference in the lives of children 25 years ago,” stated Bruce K. Foulke, Founder and Chairman of the Kids-N-Hope Foundation, and President & CEO of American Heritage Credit Union. “I am so proud of the work our volunteers and Board of Directors have done this past year to celebrate this milestone anniversary, and I am beyond grateful for the support and contributions made by our Foundation supporters and donors who allow us to carry out our mission each year.”
In 1996, American Heritage Credit Union become the first credit union in the country to form its own charitable organization. After American Heritage’s President & CEO Bruce Foulke visited the Seashore House at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, he and the American Heritage Board of Directors determined that the Credit Union would pledge to become a permanent benefactor of local pediatric causes, and thus the Kids-N-Hope Foundation was created to support CHOP’s needs, starting with the Music Therapy Program.
“The support from The Kids-N-Hope Foundation helps our Child Life team provide the best care possible to meet the unique needs of our patients as they cope with illness, treatment and the overall healthcare experience,” stated Bridget Welz, Assistant Direct, Corporate Annual Giving at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. “Our Music Therapy Program would not exist without partners like American Heritage Credit Union and the Kids-N-Hope Foundation. The CHOP community is very grateful and thankful for our 25-year partnership!”

The Kids-N-Hope Foundation present Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with a check for $300,000 for the year of 2021 to continue supporting the hospital’s Music Therapy Program.
