The Voice Foundation’s Annual Charity Golf Classic Raises Over $50,000 to Help Strengthen Community Initiatives

EAST WINDSOR, N.J., September 7, 2012 — More than 80 golfers came together for a great cause at the VOICE Foundation’s eighth annual Charity Golf Classic on September 4 at the Tournament Players Club Jasna Polana. The golfers participated in a scramble format tournament, closest to the pin and longest drive competition, and Super Raffle drawing to raise more than $50,000 for local charitable organizations.
The charity golf classic, hosted by McGraw-Hill Federal Credit Union, raised money for the VOICE Foundation (volunteerism, outreach, involvement, community, and education), which supports numerous charitable activities within the local community. One of this year’s primary beneficiaries, The National Junior Tennis and Learning of Trenton (NJTLT), strengthens the character and enhances the lives of local youth by providing life skills instruction in nutrition, education, and tennis. A second beneficiary, the Children’s Miracle Network, raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America and actively supports improved health care for children.
“It’s great to see everyone coming together to support the VOICE Foundation and its goal to enrich the excellent programs that help our communities grow through both financial and physical wellness,” said Joy Beans, Chairperson of the VOICE Foundation. “We’re grateful to our colleagues and business partners for joining us on the course for a day of fun and camaraderie centered on strengthening the local community through financial education and wellness initiatives.”
