SAN ANTONIO, TX (December 15, 2014) -- Security Service Federal Credit Union has promoted AnnMarie Esparza to vice president of business solutions and quality assurance, Mark Jimenez to vice president of network engineering and support and Mike Ward to vice president of core systems and security.
Esparza joined the credit union in 2008 as manager of core development. As vice president of business solutions and quality assurance, she will be responsible for overseeing business process analysis and information technology quality assurance. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in business information technology from Rogers State University and has more than 18 years in the financial service and information technology industries. Prior to joining Security Service, she was in senior leadership at the Bank of Oklahoma. She serves on the board of the Greater San Antonio YMCA and the advisory council for the information technology program at Texas A&M – San Antonio.
In his new position, Jimenez will be responsible for planning and oversight of the credit union’s network, telecommunication and technology systems as well as ensuring Security Service has a secure and resilient technology infrastructure to support the organization’s current and future business requirements. A former U.S. Army specialist who served in Germany as part of the 69th Signal Battalion, Jimenez began his career at Security Service in 2000 as a communications analyst. He currently sits on the board of directors for Family Violence Prevention Services and serves as a volunteer on the United Way Stewardship and Program Review Committees. He is also part of the TechExecs of San Antonio.
With more than 22 years experience at Security Service, Ward was responsible for bringing local area networking and email to the credit union in the early 1990s. As vice president of core systems and security, he will be responsible for the credit union’s core systems operating environment, subsystems and overall management of information systems security policies and procedures. He holds an MBA in information technology from Wayland Baptist University and is a military veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He currently serves as chairman of the board for the Academy Advisory Corporate Council for San Antonio’s Northeast Independent School District.
