Tickets & sponsorships now available for Foundation’s Wegner Awards dinner
Four individuals to receive CU’s highest honors at fundraising gala
MADISON, WI (December 4, 2017) — Credit union leaders and supporters can now purchase their sponsorships and tickets for the 30th annual National Credit Union Foundation Dinner Presenting the Herb Wegner Memorial Awards. The dinner will take place on February 26, 2018 at the Marriott Marquis in conjunction with the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington, D.C.
Sponsorships and tickets for this fundraising gala are available online at ncuf.coop or by mail with the deadline of February 9, 2018 to purchase. There are a variety of sponsorship and ticket levels for this premier event with different benefits associated with each.
“This year marks the milestone 30th anniversary for the Wegner Awards Dinner,” said Gigi Hyland, Executive Director at the National Credit Union Foundation. “We have four amazing individuals with incredible stories about their work in the credit union movement, and we hope you will join us in celebrating their achievements at what is sure to be an unforgettable evening.”
The awards ceremony celebrates the highest national honors in the credit union movement. The 2018 honorees are:
- Outstanding Individual Achievement: Chuck Purvis, President/CEO at Coastal Credit Union;
- Outstanding Individual Achievement: Susan Mitchell, CEO of Mitchell, Stankovic & Associates;
- Outstanding Individual Achievement: Angel V. Castro, President of Castro y Asociados; and
- Outstanding Individual Achievement: Bill Hampel, retired Chief Policy Officer and Economist at Credit Union National Association (CUNA).
