Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer

TICONDEROGA, NY-The Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union (TFCU) is pleased to announce the addition of Daniel J. Silvey to their team. Silvey joined TFCU on March 14thas Chief Financial Officer.
“I am pleased to have someone with Dan’s education, skills and experience, join our senior executive management team.” said Shawn Hayes, TFCU’s President and CEO. “I look forward to the contributions he will make to the team and the credit union as we enter this new phase of our growth.”
Silvey holds both a BS in Public Accounting and an MBA in Finance. He has over 25 years of experience in accounting & finance. Silvey is also a level-3 EMT and treasurer of the Board of West Glens Falls Emergency Squad, Inc. He has taught college level courses for both SUNY Plattsburgh and Adirondack. “Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union has a very friendly staff, that is family oriented and community focused. It’s a fun place to work, and I’m happy to be part of this team,” said Silvey.
A not-for-profit cooperative offering comprehensive deposit and lending services to its members, TFCU operates its main office in Ticonderoga, NY where it was chartered in 1954 as the International Paper Ticonderoga Mill’s employee credit union. Since then, it has amended its charter twice, and now offers membership to persons who live, work, worship or attend school in, or businesses or legal entities located in Essex County, Washington County or the Towns of Hague, Horicon and Chester.
The TFCU opened its first branch in March of 2007 in Port Henry, NY and its second branch in Elizabethtown, NY in November of 2008.
