(Des Moines, Iowa, and Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. – September 24, 2012) – The successful partnership between two leading payments companies – announced in January 2012 – will garner more attention this week, as The Members Group (TMG) and CO-OP Financial Services roll out a collaborative advertising effort.

Executives from each company teamed up to design a new graphic element symbolizing the power of TMG/CO-OP strategic alliance. According to CEOs Shazia Manus for TMG and Stan Hollen for CO-OP, the companies designed the seal as a symbol of the new future in payment innovations.

“Everyone who sees this seal will be reminded of the power of the TMG/CO-OP alliance, which expands each of our competencies for the development of best-in-class payment technologies and superior customer experiences,” said Manus.

Patterned after a vintage “seal of approval,” the graphic element will be introduced to credit union audiences in display ads scheduled to publish this week. The element will reappear on a smaller scale in the companies’ individual ads moving forward and in a variety of print and digital marketing materials.

The seal carries the logos of both companies in the center of a medallion-shaped logo surrounded by the copy “Leaders in Innovation” in circular typeset.

Some of the initiatives the pair is working to bring to the market include:

  • flexible payment solutions to fit the diverse needs of 7,300+ credit unions
  • launch of innovative mobile banking and payments products
  • best-in-class after-hours cardholder support services
  • enhanced integrated reporting and data analytics tools
  • industry-leading improvements to fraud prevention strategies
  • market-leading EMV chip card technologies
  • development of full-service card portfolio consulting services
  • data aggregation and integration of Springboard, a proprietary technology interface providing a faster, more efficient way to serve cardholders

“TMG and CO-OP have joined forces to offer our clients and their members a new standard in convenience products and payments solutions. It takes two to raise the bar that high,” said Manus, referencing the new ad campaign slogan. “This ad campaign gives our critical audiences a visual of the power of partnership, something to remind them of our collective promise to be leaders in innovation and to propel the payments industry into tomorrow.”

Stan Hollen, President/CEO of CO-OP, added the advertising collaboration hints at other projects in the works. “This partnership is about more than economies of scale or efficiencies,” he said. “TMG and CO-OP understand credit unions are excited about the future of payments, yet they need sound guidance and support to bring the right products and services to their members. That future, for TMG and CO-OP, is now. We are actively designing and testing the innovations that will become consumers’ must-have financial tools in the near future.”
