DES MOINES, IA (February 20, 2014) – For its booth at the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC), February 23-27 in Washington, D.C., payments processor The Members Group (TMG) and its sister companies will support the conference theme “Unite for Good” with a donation campaign.
Joined by Hispanic market solutions company Coopera, credit union regulatory firm PolicyWorks and credit card agent-issuer TMG Financial Services, TMG will host its own “Make a Difference” project. Attendees who visit the booth (#329) will have the opportunity to fill out a “Make a Difference” card with an example of how they’ve made a difference in the credit union movement. For each card completed, the sister companies will make a donation to the National Credit Union Foundation.
“Our collective group was very excited by CUNA’s concept of uniting for good,” said Georgann Smith, TMG vice president of marketing. “Each of our companies has a front-row seat for the many ways in which our clients and their extraordinary staff are making a real difference in people’s lives – in both big ways and small. We developed this project as a way of gathering up all the great stories we know are out there and honoring them with a financial contribution to the National Credit Union Foundation.”
The National Credit Union Foundation is the philanthropic and social responsibility leader of America's credit union movement. With the goal of empowering consumers to achieve financial freedom through credit unions, the foundation raises funds, makes grants, manages programs and provides education.
The sister companies’ booth will tout their collective “Smart Solutions That Make a Difference.” Serving credit unions, community banks and member-based organizations, the companies together serve several hundred credit unions.
