MADISON, WI (March 19, 2014) – Kristen Mashburn, Josh Allison, and Amy McGraw were honored for their achievements in marketing and business development during a ceremony at the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council Conference, March 12-15 in Orlando, FL.
- Kristen Mashburn, Vice President of Marketing for Listerhill Credit Union, Muscle Shoals, AL, won the Marketing Professional of the Year Award. Mashburn was recognized for her alignment of highly-integrated creative work with the overall business strategy, which in turn, has helped grow assets by 60 percent and built twice the brand recognition of peer financial institutions. Her co-workers refer to her as “hyper strategist” and “details junkie,” and her strict adherence to project management has earned her the nickname, “the woman with a plan.” She led her team to win three Category’s Best and 11 CUNA Marketing & Business Development Diamond Awards in 2014 alone, plus several other national awards.
- Josh Allison, Relationship Development Manager for Horizon Credit Union, Spokane Valley, WA won the Business Development Professional of the Year Award. Allison was chosen based on his achievements with executing school partner and SEG engagement strategies, efforts related to financial literacy, and weaving the credit union philosophy into those programs. His involvement and volunteerism at the state and national level, presenting, educating, and passionately sharing the social impact of credit unions is admirable. In addition to holding a CUDE designation, Allison has won several national awards for his industry involvement.
- Amy McGraw, Vice President of Marketing for Tropical Financial Credit Union, Miramar, FL was presented with the Volunteer of the Year Award. As a member-led organization, the Council relies on volunteers, and this award recognizes those contributions to the Council. McGraw serves on two committees, is an active participant at the conference, volunteers to facilitate sessions, and posts to the Council’s social media channels. She is engaged, enthusiastic, and a meaningful contributor. Her committee co-volunteers say she is, “always full of ideas and willing to kick around ideas that represent new, fresh perspectives.”
