Travel to Kenya and make a tangible difference at a global level Oct. 30-Nov. 6

Now’s your chance to work alongside staff in the field through a World Council of Credit Union (WOCCU) engagement program! The program will be held October 30-Novemeber 6, 2011 and provide credit union leaders a one-of-a-kind, hands-on opportunity to become directly involved with credit unions internationally.

During the trip to Kenya, located in East Africa, participants will help develop savings and credit products tailored to meet the needs of the rural poor and see firsthand how small credit unions are reaching the unbanked through a new technology that WOCCU developed. During the trip participants will also volunteer at Busia Compassionate Centre, a local orphanage.

The engagement program is offered through the Global Women’s Leadership Network, however men and women alike are eligible to participate and participants do not need to be members of the Global Women’s Leadership Network. Participation is limited so sign up on or before September 30, 2011 to ensure your spot. For more information and registration fees visit www.cuwomen.org/engagementprograms.
