Trax Credit Union was recently honored with two national Diamond Awards from the Marketing & Business Development Council of America’s Credit Unions. The Diamond Awards recognize credit unions of all sizes for their excellent marketing initiatives from the previous year. Awards are given to recognize achievements in 35 categories ranging from product advertising to community events and beyond.
Trax won awards for the following projects:
- Annual “Heart of the Holiday” Card Contest
- Platform 8 ⅓ Kids Club
The credit union’s annual “Heart of the Holiday” Card Contest received a “Category’s Best” Diamond Award in the PR campaign category. This art contest engages its youngest members via social media in a fun way to celebrate the holidays. The winner’s artwork is featured on the cover of their corporate holiday cards, and he/she receives $100.
The Trax Platform 8 ⅓ Kids Club received a “Category’s Best” Diamond Award in the Membership Marketing category. As the credit union was originally founded for the railroad industry, they wanted to keep some brand connection to its history and the Trax Kids Club ties directly to the brand story. The mascot, Max, is a young train engineer with an invisible best friend named Rex, who she discovers waiting for her on Platform 8⅓. The club name is inspired by the Harry Potter train platform 9¾, and 813 is the area code for Tampa.
