TRUE Community Credit Union joins Dawn Foods and the Muray Family to support Juneteenth scholarships for local students

Scholarship partnership helps community youth pursue their educational dreams

JACKSON, MI (June 25, 2026) |

TRUE Community Credit Union is proud to partner with Dawn Foods and the Muray Family in support of the Jackson Juneteenth Celebration’s scholarships that help graduating high school seniors, current college students, and students completing or pursuing a skilled trades certificate take the next step toward their educational dreams. Through this meaningful collaboration, scholarship support will be provided to local students as they prepare to continue their education and build bright futures rooted in purpose, opportunity, and community impact.

Dawn Foods, the Muray Family, and TRUE Community Credit Union share a deep commitment to strengthening the Jackson community through education, opportunity, and inclusive community support. Together, the sponsors are helping create pathways for students to continue learning, growing, and making an impact in the places they call home.

“Supporting students as they pursue their educational goals is one of the most meaningful ways we can create legacy-defining moments by investing in the future of our community,” said Sarah Ermatinger, TRUECCU Chief Community Impact Officer. “Juneteenth is a powerful reminder of freedom, resilience, and progress, and we are honored to stand alongside Dawn Foods and the Muray Family to help students step confidently into their next chapter.”

The scholarships are designed to empower students who have demonstrated determination, leadership, and a commitment to their future. For many recipients, this support represents more than financial assistance, it’s a reminder that their community believes in their potential and is committed to helping them succeed.

The scholarship initiative is part of the Jackson Juneteenth Celebration’s ongoing commitment to honoring freedom, celebrating culture, and investing in the next generation of leaders. By removing financial barriers and encouraging students to pursue college, trade programs, or other post-secondary pathways, the partnership reflects a shared belief in the power of education to create lasting change.
