WINSTON-SALEM, NC (June 5, 2017) — Truliant Federal Credit Union has named John Sullivan, Jr. to the role of SBA/USDA Business Development Officer.
In his new role, Sullivan will facilitate business loan requests through applications, underwriting and closings, and handle portfolio management for Truliant’s Small Business Administration and U.S. Department of Agriculture business loan program.
He reports to Rob McFarland, vice president of business services.

Sullivan began his banking career in 2000 with First Union National Bank as a Relationship Sales Manager. He later became a Small Business Banker and Business Relationship Manager, all while First Union transitioned into Wachovia and ultimately Wells Fargo.
In 2012, he began at SunTrust Bank as its Business Relationship Officer, where he was responsible for managing and growing business/client portfolios. Sullivan also worked for The Bancorp as an SBA Business Development Officer.
Sullivan obtained a Bachelor of Science from East Carolina University and an Applied Science Degree in Business Management from Rutledge College. Additionally, he served in the 63rd Corps of Engineers in the United States Army where he was honorably discharged.
