WINSTON-SALEM, NC (December 7, 2017) — Truliant Federal Credit Union (Truliant) today announced it will open a second location in Asheboro, N.C. Construction will begin in January 2018, with a second quarter 2018 opening date.
Truliant is opening the location to better serve a growing membership base in the area. The new branch is located at 1200 N. Fayetteville St., Suite F, in the Oakie Mountain Shopping Center, approximately 3.5 miles from Truliant’s current branch at 1055 East Dixie Drive.
“The Asheboro market has for many years been one that truly understands and supports the value of having Truliant Federal Credit Union serve their community, companies and small businesses,” said Marc Schaefer, Truliant’s president and CEO. “As we’ve watched community banks come and go, we are grateful to our many members for their loyalty to Truliant over the past two-and-a-half decades.”
The new location is Truliant’s 14th in the Triad and its first new Member Financial Center built in the region since the credit union’s Whitaker Square and Elon locations opened in 2014. Additionally, the Asheboro opening will follow a ten Member Financial Center expansion in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region that was completed in 2017. When the new location is complete, Truliant will have a total of 34 locations.
Truliant’s new location will be constructed with the credit union’s updated branch design that reflects its Life ImprovedTM brand. This new design for Member Financial Centers has eliminated traditional teller lines. Instead, it offers unique teller pods to provide an enhanced, side-by-side service experience that is more personal.
In addition, the location will have a stand-alone 24-hour Smart ATM located in the parking lot, equipped with enhanced technology features. As with all Truliant branches, the new Asheboro location will offer free checking, easy access, a member-owner greeting station and coffee café.
Truliant’s Schaefer added that by opening a second location, Truliant is recognizing the importance of the Asheboro market by providing the level of service that Truliant’s growing membership has asked for and richly deserves.
