TruMark Financial® Credit Union and Keystone Federal Credit Union announce merger

FORT WASHINGTON, PA (June 6, 2016) — In a special meeting held on May 25, 2016, members of Keystone Federal Credit Union overwhelmingly approved a merger with TruMark Financial® Credit Union. The merger provides the former Keystone Federal Credit Union members access to an expanded branch network and a wider menu of financial products and services. Members will enjoy the convenience of online and mobile banking services, mobile app with mobile deposit, and access to a large surcharge-free ATM network.

Combining assets from both credit unions (TruMark Financial at $1.7 billion and Keystone Federal Credit Union at $76 million) will create a credit union of approximately $1.8 billion in assets. The branch network will expand to 22 branches and the credit union will now serve more than 115,000 members throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania.

“This collaborative partnership expands our footprint throughout Chester County,” said TruMark Financial Chief Executive Officer Richard F. Stipa. “TruMark Financial is eager to provide Keystone members the superior service and quality products our members experience,” said Stipa.

Both credit unions share a strong commitment to educating today’s youth about the fundamentals of saving, borrowing, and investment through their financial literacy programs and student-run credit union branches. The merger will allow the credit union to reach more students through classroom presentations and prepare them to be more financially responsible.
