In celebration of TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union’s 80th anniversary, each branch of the credit union is selecting a local charity to receive a $1,000 donation from the TruStone Financial Foundation. As part of this initiative, TruStone Financial’s Oakdale branch recently selected Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf (CCEFS) to receive a donation from the Foundation.
CCEFS provides food for community members in need, believing access to nutritious food is a basic human right. In addition to running a food shelf in Oakdale, the organization operates a mobile food shelf, delivers meals, and works with area grocers to collect and distribute food to the community, among other services.
“CCEFS does so much for our neighbors in Oakdale,” said Oksana Kushneryk, manager of the TruStone Financial branch in Oakdale. “This donation was one small way we could help them fight hunger and keep our community thriving.”
Interim Executive Director of CCEFS, Cheryl Jensen, thanked TruStone Financial for the donation. “Just last month, we served 424 families and 1,700 individuals. Support from community partners like TruStone helps make our work possible.”

Staff from the Oakdale branch of TruStone Financial presented a check for $1,000 to CCEFS staff at the organization’s food shelf in Oakdale.
