TruStone Financial receives Partners in Education Award

PLYMOTH, MN (April 16, 2014) -- TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union was recognized by Independent School District 742, Partners in Education for their work and contributions to the St. Cloud Area School District in Minnesota.

The award was presented to Steve Lovejoy, Assistant Vice President and St. Cloud Branch Manager at a ceremony held at Tech High School on April 15, 2014. “I am honored to have TruStone Financial recognized for our dedication to supporting the schools in the St. Cloud area. We firmly believe helping our local schools and school district make our communities a better place to live,” said Lovejoy.

The District 742 Partners in Education Awards recognize individuals and organizations for their significant contributions to public education and student success in the community. TruStone Financial was nominated by Apollo High School special education teacher, Geri Swanson. “TruStone Financial is a great partner in education to the St. Cloud school district and I am so grateful for their presence in my building and my classroom.”  Swanson was the recipient of a classroom makeover where TruStone Financial provided cubicle work stations for student independent study, new tables and chairs, storage units, a new teacher desk as well as a fresh coat of paint. “Steve and his staff are a constant gift to me, my fellow teachers and the students at Apollo,” said Swanson. “All the things that the credit union regularly does for us helps improve the climate and attitude here, making us better teachers.”
