Two PSECU leaders named to the 2023 Women Making a Difference list

HARRISBURG, PA (November 3, 2023) — Two PSECU leaders were named to the Women Making a Difference list by PA Business Central (PBC). Lindsay Oparowski, Assistant Vice President of Digital Member Experience, and Candice Richards, Regional Membership Development Manager, were both included in the list.

For over 10 years, Women in Business has been recognizing outstanding women who are making a difference in their work and their communities. Nominations are gathered from local business executives, community leaders, and PA Business Central readers. Final selections are based on nominees who have made a positive impact on the Central Pennsylvania business community by consistently moving their business forward, adapting to major changes in their personal and professional lives, and giving back to the community through volunteering or mentoring.

Oparowski attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. She has held digital leadership roles at various companies in the hospitality, real estate, and consumer package goods verticals. Oparowski joined the credit union in October 2020 and has quickly established herself as an innovative, authentic leader dedicated to executing PSECU’s member experience vision and strategy.

In her current role, Oparowski balances the growth vision and long-term digital member experience strategy with near-term execution to create a seamless member experience.

She loves to travel with her husband and two daughters. She volunteers her time with her church’s Haiti outreach committee and teaches religious education.

Richards pursued her master’s in business administration at Keller DeVry University and also obtained a bachelor’s in sales management from Florida Atlantic University. She has held several positions in sales, marketing, and public relations in the hospitality, food, and consumer goods industries.

Prior to joining PSECU, Candice directed the marketing and public relations efforts for a Caribbean franchise chain in New York with over 100 stores located across nine states. Throughout her career, she has distinguished herself as an innovative, empathetic, and hardworking individual who consistently goes above and beyond to achieve exceptional results.

When she is not at work, Candice enjoys relaxing with her husband of 25 years and serving in various capacities at her church.
