UK Federal Credit Union announces donation to American Red Cross, Bluegrass Chapter

LEXINGTON, KY (January 19, 2022) — On January 11th,   2022   The   University   of   Kentucky   Federal   Credit   Union   (UKFCU) presented the Bluegrass Chapter of the American Red Cross with a donation totaling $141,000.00 to aid in the Tornado Relief Fund for Western Kentucky.

On December 10th, 2021, Western Kentucky experienced devastating EF4 tornadoes. Overnight, UK Federal Credit Union began the initiative to partner with the Bluegrass Chapter of the American Red Cross, to help raise money that will provide much-needed relief to all those affected by the devastation. UK Federal Credit Union pledged to make an initial donation of $25,000.00 while matching community and member donations dollar-for-dollar up to $45,000.00 with a goal of donating $70,000.00. We are pleased to announce our goal was exceeded because of the outpouring of support from the community and members. In total, UK Federal Credit Union was able to raise $141,000.00 to help support the Tornado Relief Fund.
