United Federal Credit Union, Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada, and Tahoe Knight Monsters team up to support local youth

RENO, NV (April 10, 2026) |

United Federal Credit Union (United) proudly celebrated its longstanding  partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada (BGCWN) alongside the  Tahoe Knight Monsters (TKM) during the team’s Sunday, March 29 game against Rapid  City Rush. The game showcased a shared commitment among all three organizations  to supporting local youth through community partnerships.

United has partnered with the BGCWN since 2020, working together to provide financial  literacy resources, programming support for events, and opportunities that help kids  learn, grow, and thrive. Supporting the Club’s mission is a natural extension of United’s  commitment to strengthening the communities it serves and ensuring young people  have access to safe spaces, mentorship, and positive experiences.

“We are incredibly grateful for our continued partnership with United Federal Credit  Union and the support from the Tahoe Knight Monsters,” said Brett Zunino, CEO of the  Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada. “These types of collaborations go far beyond  financial contributions. They show our kids that the community believes in them,  supports their dreams, and is invested in their future.”

Over the past two seasons, United deepened its community impact through a  partnership with the Tahoe Knight Monsters. Through a dedicated United ticket link, 20  percent of ticket proceeds were donated directly to the BGCWN, resulting in a $3,000  contribution that turned fan support into meaningful benefits for local youth.

“At United, we believe strong communities start with strong support for our youth,” said  Brook Sweeting, Senior Market Development Manager at United. “Our partnership with

the Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada has always been about showing up for kids in  meaningful ways, and working alongside the Tahoe Knight Monsters allowed us to turn  a fun night of hockey into lasting community impact.”

Proceeds from the ticket initiative were presented to the BGCWN during the March 29  game, creating a memorable moment both on and off the ice. Club members were  highlighted throughout the evening, including kids riding the FanZam during intermission  and Jazlien Y., BGCWN’s 2026 Youth of the Year winner, dropping the ceremonial puck ahead of the game.

“We are proud to partner with United Federal Credit Union and the Boys & Girls Club of  Western Nevada to give back to local youth,” said Josh Costa, Director of Sales at the Tahoe Knight Monsters. “Seeing the kids involved throughout the game and knowing  that fans helped support such an important cause made this night truly special.”

The evening concluded with a postgame celebration on the ice, bringing together  representatives from all three organizations and reinforcing the power of partnership,  community, and shared purpose.
