United Federal Credit Union (UFCU) has appointed Brooke Harkins to the position of mortgage advisor. She will be headquartered at the credit union’s new branch at the intersection of Main and Edison Lakes Parkway in Mishawaka, Ind.
UFCU formally entered the South Bend market area in 2017 by opening a lending office in February at 1241 E University Dr., Granger, Ind. Another branch is planned for the northeast corner of Ireland Road and Lafayette Boulevard, also in South Bend.
Harkins will use her expertise to provide helpful and complete real estate lending expertise to Members through financial counseling and product awareness and generate quality mortgage loans.
Harkins has more than six years of financial services experience. Prior to her new role at UFCU, she served as a home mortgage consultant at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage Services since Feb. 2015; a financial sales consultant at PNC Bank from May 2013 to Feb. 2015; and a customer service representative at Taper Lock Credit Union from May 2013 to June 2011. Prior to those roles, she served in retail positions of increasing authority.
Harkins earned a degree in business from Ivy Tech Community College.
