United Federal Credit Union receives Duo Awards based on feedback from members and employees

ST. JOSEPH, MI (September 26, 2016) — United Federal Credit Union (UFCU) is pleased to announce that it is the recipient of two awards based on positive recognition from members and employees.

For the second year in a row, UFCU received the first-place Benchmark Winner award in the Arkansas Business Best Places to Work competition. Arkansas Business compiles the Best Places to Work list annually in partnership with Best Companies Group. Winners are selected based on a two-part company assessment. In part one, the employer completes a questionnaire, and in part two employees complete a survey.

UFCU has also been named the preferred credit union in the annual Southwest Times Record Reader’s Choice competition for the second consecutive year. The Southwest Times Record is a daily newspaper in Fort Smith, Arkansas, serving 10 counties in western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.

“I want thank both our members and our employees for making both awards possible. To receive the preferred credit union award shows a strong vote of confidence in us by members and it’s likely a reason for our steady growth,” said Arkansas Market Vice President Noel Sanger.

“As for the Best Places to Work designation, employee satisfaction is a key part of the United culture. My team is fantastic and they are our greatest asset. I value the opportunity every day to look for ways to serve them so they are happy on the job and able to achieve peak performance.”

UFCU’s focus on the employee has driven turnover to just 6 percent in the Arkansas region, well below national turnover rates of between 15 and 22 percent. Meanwhile, UFCU membership in Arkansas totals 26,700, which is an increase of 9.2 percent over last year.
