United Federal Credit Union’s Jeff Panko named to My Journey Home, Inc. board of directors
United Federal Credit Union (UFCU) Member Service Advisor Jeff Panko has been named to the board of directors of the My Journey Home, Inc., a Reno nonprofit organization dedicated to the safe and successful reentry of military veterans and former prisoners into the community. My Journey Home offers vocational training, employment services, drug and alcohol counseling, GED preparation and peer-to-peer support groups.
“It is an honor to be selected to serve on the board of such an essential organization,” said Panko. “Utilization of the services offered by My Journey Home can significantly increase the likelihood of a successful transition.”
Panko is a Reno native and a former Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout. He is an active volunteer who has helped spearhead UFCU’s annual diaper drive to benefit the women and children in the local area, environmental efforts such as electronic waste collection and other shred events, and Hero Appreciation Day, which recognizes heroes in the community including veterans, public safety personnel, teachers, doctors, and nurses.
Panko earned a bachelor’s of science degree in Business Administration and Information Systems from the University of Nevada, Reno.
