United Heritage Charity Foundation donates $20,000 to local military and their families for the holidays

United Heritage Partners with Heroes Night Out For 2023 and into the New Year

AUSTIN, TEXAS (December 28, 2023) — United Heritage Credit Union and its Charity Foundation have partnered with Heroes Night Out, a local non-profit dedicated to supporting active military, veterans, and their families. United Heritage donated $12,000 toward Heroes Night Out’s Christmas initiative by purchasing wish list items and gift cards for military families. Through the Charity Foundation’s partnership with Heroes Night Out, the group gave an additional donation of $8,000 to go towards a women’s event being planned for 2024, totaling $20,000 altogether.

Heroes Night Out’s recent event, Just Because Christmas, is one of the many events the organization holds free of charge for service members and their families. There were 28 families and 74 children sponsored this year. Heroes Night Out received an estimate of $20,000-25,000 in gifts from sponsors like United Heritage. In addition, United Heritage purchased gift cards for every family for $350 each, totaling $10,850. Heroes Night Out is 100% donation-based and needs volunteers to help in various ways. Every dollar donated goes towards supporting our nation’s heroes and providing invaluable support through resources and services both onsite and in the community. “We enjoyed taking a tour of the facility and seeing how the Heroes Night Out headquarters was transformed for a Christmas celebration. There were so many wonderful gifts that were personalized to each child. Knowing that these kids will be able to open up presents on Christmas day is a meaningful experience that we are proud to be a part of,” said Chelsea Schrimpf, Chairman of the Charity Foundation.

Heroes Night Out has assisted 6,520 Heroes and their families through various acts of service. United Heritage is excited to continue its partnership with Heroes Night Out and sponsor their upcoming Women Heroes Program in March.
