United Heritage Charity Foundation partners with Breast Cancer Resource Center

The Charity Foundation Gives $25,000 to Assist Central Texans Affected by Breast Cancer

AUSTIN, TEXAS (August 3, 2023) — Each quarter of the year, the United Heritage Charity Foundation (UHCF) partners with a Central or East Texas-based non-profit organization that aligns to one or more of its Areas of Focus – Family Support Services, Healthcare, Education, or Military and Veteran Assistance. From April to June, the Charity Foundation partnered with Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC) and gave a donation of $25,000. The organization helps individuals regardless of their socioeconomic status by building a supportive community to ensure that no one has to face breast cancer alone. Since 1995, BCRC has served 1,204 clients and 2,963 household family members by giving them access to personalized Patient Navigation services. In 2022, BCRC’s reach extended to 47 states and five countries thanks to its sponsors and fundraising efforts. This year, its financial assistance program has helped 50 clients, through gift cards for food, gas, medication/medical bills, and transportation totaling $14,378.

“It was a pleasure getting to work with some of the team members of the Breast Cancer Resource Center. The work that they do is life changing for so many in our community. BCRC’s aid has been nationally recognized for its mission services. We applaud them for continuing to innovate and change the breast cancer experience with the care their clients and families receive,” says Kevin Farley, Vice Chairman of the United Heritage Charity Foundation. “We are proud to have worked with them and to see the impact Breast Cancer Resource Center has made first-hand. We look forward to continuing to support Breast Cancer Resource Center and its mission to empower Central Texans to understand and take action regarding their health.”

As part of this partnership, UHCF donated $25,000 in unrestricted funds to go towards the organization and the unique free-of-charge services they provide their clients and survivors of breast cancer. Partnerships like the one between UHCF and BCRC are vital in helping Central Texas families impacted by breast cancer. BCRC provides personalized support and compassion through resources, education, and guidance which is why BCRC’s certified Patient Navigators are all breast cancer survivors themselves who understand clients’ issues, the challenges of breast cancer, treatment, and its effects like no one else can.
