Lonny Poe of Dripping Springs, Texas, United Heritage Credit Union member since 2006, is the lucky new owner of a 2011 Honda Civic LX Sedan after  winning the United Heritage Charity Foundation Auto Raffle on July 6, 2011.  Ticket sales for the auto raffle began in April and were available to members and the public at all United Heritage Credit Union branches for $1 each.

United Heritage Charity Foundation offered the 2011 Honda Civic LX Sedan in conjunction with Howdy Honda.  Through ticket sales, the Charity Foundation raised $39,989 that will be distributed to the many local charitable organizations and projects the Charity Foundation supports.

An additional drawing was held for a 37” Vizio flatscreen television. Ronald Bryant, of Buda, Texas, United Heritage Credit Union member since 2010, was the proud winner of the new television.

The winners were randomly drawn at United Heritage Credit Union’s Manchaca branch location on Wednesday, July 6. The auto raffle winner, Mr. Poe, stated that he had $5 in cash in his pocket and thought he should put it towards a good cause such as the Charity Foundation auto raffle.

Founded in 2003, the United Heritage Charity Foundation is the charitable arm of United Heritage Credit Union.  The Charity Foundation was formed to contribute to deserving organizations that make a difference in our communities. The Charity Foundation would like to thank everyone that participated in the raffle. United Heritage Charity Foundation Board Chair, May Lofgreen, states “the first annual Charity Foundation Auto Raffle was a huge success. The money raised will make a significant impact on a number of charities supported by the Charity Foundation.”

All proceeds from the auto raffle benefit charities supported by the United Heritage Charity Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
