United Heritage CU Announces SmartDesign Contest Winners

AUSTIN, TX (September 24, 2010) – The Top 3 Winners have been selected for the SmartDesign Visa^®  Debit Card Contest with United Heritage CU. Thousands of votes from around the world were cast online to determine which of the Top 10 Finalists would win amazing prize packages and have the chance to be featured in United Heritage CU marketing material. Congratulations to Grand Prize Winner – Melissa Olsen, Second Place – Melissa Redden and Third Place – David Bisby who were selected as this year’s winners.

Entrants became eligible by submitting their images to the SmartDesign Contest using the standard, easy-to-use upload process via www.uhcu.org/smartdesign. From the pool of submissions, a committee of Credit Union staff selected ten of the best designs to move forward in the competition. After the Top 10 Finalists were announced, online voting was opened to the general public to determine the favorite debit card designs. When the votes were tallied after three very competitive weeks, the Top 3 designs with the highest number of votes were crowned the winners.

The winners received the following prizes:

Grand Prize:  Canon PowerShot SD1400 IS Digital Camera, HP Photosmart Compact Photo Printer, 7” Pandigital Picture Frame, $200 Best Buy gift card, 16GB flash memory card and card reader

Second Place: Canon PowerShot SD1400 IS Digital Camera, $150 Best Buy gift card, 7” Pandigital Picture Frame, 8 GB flash memory card and card reader

Third Place: HP Photosmart Compact Photo Printer, $100 Best Buy gift card, 7” Pandigital Picture Frame
