Tinton Falls, N.J. – United Teletech Financial Federal Credit Union (UTF) and the New Jersey Credit Union League (NJCUL) proudly announce the winners of the 2011 credit union scholarship program. UTF member Alexandra Deitche of Monroe Township won one the six $1,000 awards that were available via statewide competition. Alexandra will soon be entering Westpoint Academy. UTF’s other top ranking students, Christine Liu and Kristen Palframan, both of Middletown, were each awarded $500 scholarships to the universities of their choice. Christine will be attending Columbia University this fall, while Kristen has chosen Bicknell University.
“We are very proud of the achievements of the students representing United Teletech Financial in this year’s scholarship program,” said Bryan Eichenbaum, UTF’s Vice President of Sales and Lending. “We look forward to continuing to support the NJCUL in offering this scholarship to aspiring college candidates.”
Scholarships were available to all high school seniors who are members in good standing of NJCUL-affiliated credit unions. Winners were judged on scholastic achievement, extracurricular and community activities, teacher references and leadership qualities.
United Teletech Financial (UTF) is a not-for-profit credit union serving members in central New Jersey. Founded in 1967 to meet the needs of Bell Labs employees, the credit union has grown to over 380 sponsor companies.
