United Teletech Financial is Bank Transfer Headquarters
(TINTON FALLS, N.J.) – On Bank Transfer Day this Nov. 5, credit unions nationwide are bracing for many individuals to leave their banks and join a credit union. Bank Transfer Day began as a social movement stemming from the outrage at big banks’ increasing fees. United Teletech Financial Federal Credit Union (UTF) supports the Bank Transfer Day movement and aims to inform the public about the benefits of joining a credit union.
To show its support, UTF is becoming known as the “Bank Transfer Headquarters” for Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex counties. On Saturday, Nov. 5, UTF branches will be open extended hours to accommodate those wishing to become a credit union member. Staff will be present at every UTF location to offer information, answer any questions, and help individuals become a member.
“We could not be more excited to join in the celebration of Bank Transfer Day,” Leo R. Ardine, President/CEO of United Teletech Financial said. “We fully support the grass-roots mission and goals of the people behind it. We’ve always believed that your financial institution should be there to help you prosper in your financial goals, not theirs. We want to help our members succeed financially, and Bank Transfer Day is just another opportunity for us to show individuals the benefits of joining a credit union.”
UTF is also encouraging those ready to make the switch to not wait until Nov. 5 to move their finances to a credit union.
“As we’re now the ‘Bank Transfer Headquarters,’ we expect this movement to build momentum beyond November fifth as more and more people become frustrated with the fees and impersonal customer services they have been dealing with at their banks,” Ardine said.
Those interested in becoming a member can stop by any of the UTF branches, sign up at utfinancial.org or call 855-UProsper. UTF has branches in Holmdel, Marlboro, Middletown, Neptune, North Brunswick, and Tinton Falls.
