Unitus Community Credit Union’s Corlinda Wooden named One of the Most Powerful Women in Credit Unions

Senior Vice President and Chief Retail Officer earns National Recognition for Leadership

PORTLAND, OR (November 14, 2023)Unitus Community Credit Union SVP/Chief Retail Officer,  Corlinda Wooden, has been named one of the Most Powerful Women in Credit Unions by American  Banker. The recognition program celebrates women who are driving innovation, catering to  undeserved communities, and guiding the future of financial services. The award shines a spotlight  on the brightest, most forward-thinking individuals in the credit union industry. 

“I am incredibly humbled and honored to be recognized as one of the Most Powerful Women in  Credit Unions,” declared Ms. Wooden. “This recognition is a testament to our entire organization’s  commitment to find innovative solutions to better serve everyone in our community, especially  those who have historically lacked access to inclusive financial products and services.”

The Most Powerful Women in Credit Unions is a part of American Banker’s continued coverage of  the progress in diversity, equity and inclusion throughout financial services, and expands on the  mission of supporting, empowering, celebrating and advancing women in the banking industry,  including The Most Powerful Women in Banking™, now in its twenty-first year.

Ms. Wooden has served Unitus for 10 years, with the last four years in her current role. She’s  worked in the financial industry for 25 years, earning praise and recognition throughout her career.  In 2023, she was named one of five national finalists for the CUES Exceptional Leader Awards, and  one of 12 national finalists for the Credit Union Times Luminaries Awards for Executive Leadership. 

Outside of work, Ms. Wooden serves as the Board Chair of Sunshine Division. Other volunteer  experience includes board service for the Good Neighbor Center, mentoring for the Portland Rose  Festival, facilitating for Junior Achievement of Oregon and SW Washington, and donating her time  to organizations like SMART and Impact NW.
