Valley First Credit Union announces new Vice President, Controller

MODESTO, CA (March 25, 2024) — Valley First Credit Union, a Central Valley-based credit union serving its growing and diverse members, welcomes Roderick Arevalo as its new Vice President, Controller. Roderick brings over 20 years of experience in leading transformative initiatives in a variety of financial landscapes, including credit unions.

He’s a collaborative, proactive leader with a proven track record in the financial services industry, with experience in products, branches, and member experience to changes affecting an entire organization.”

Arevalo will lead Valley First’s accounting department, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning to ensure our continued growth and success. Before joining Valley First, he served as the CFO of Shaman Modifications, LLC and was the Controller at California Coast Credit Union. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of the Incarnate Word and is pursuing a Master of Science in Data Analytics.
