Veridian Credit Union breaks ground on Council Bluffs, Iowa branch

WATERLOO, IA (August 28, 2015) — Veridian Credit Union celebrated the start of construction on its first Council Bluffs, Iowa branch with a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday. The new branch is scheduled to open in the spring on the northeast corner of North 21st Street and Broadway.

“Veridian has spent the last few years getting acquainted with Council Bluffs, building relationships and exploring ways we can serve as a resource for residents and organizations,” said Jay Ferris, Veridian Credit Union’s market president. “We couldn’t be more excited to further demonstrate our commitment to the Council Bluffs community with the opening of this branch.”

Once open, the branch’s exterior will offer a three-lane drive-up with video kiosks and a 24-hour ATM. The interior will enclose 6,880 square feet with safe deposit boxes, a self-serve coin machine and a community room offering free meeting space to local community groups. The branch’s family office will provide extra space and an entertainment center for children who accompany members during longer visits.
