Veridian Credit Union honored with Greater Des Moines Partnership Inclusion Award

WATERLOO. IA (January 21, 2014) -- Veridian Credit Union was recognized as a recipient of the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s 2014 Inclusion Award Monday night at the Partnership’s Annual Dinner. The award is presented to honor employers who have championed diversity and inclusion at their businesses, organizations and community.

“Veridian has made it a priority to create an atmosphere where everyone feels valued and included. It’s foundational for everything we do,” said Angela Weekley, Veridian’s Community Inclusion Manager. “We’re grateful to be recognized for those efforts and for the Partnership’s spotlight on the importance of diversity and inclusion in our communities.”

Veridian was recognized in the award’s small business category. Other recipients include UnityPoint Health in the large business category and Des Moines University in the medium business category.

Veridian Credit Union, founded in 1934 in Waterloo, Iowa, is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members.
