Veridian Credit Union opens Eden Prairie branch, announces two future Twin Cities area locations

EDEN PRAIRIE, MN (July 7, 2026) |

Veridian Credit Union is now open at 8280 Flying Cloud Drive in Eden Prairie, Minn., and has announced plans for two additional Twin Cities metro branches in Maple Grove and Lakeville.

The new Eden Prairie branch is Veridian’s first standalone branch in Minnesota, replacing the credit union’s former Eden Prairie office that now serves as a workspace for support staff whose services are not member-facing. At 2,890 sq. ft. with a drive-up and exterior 24-hour ATM, the new branch offers features that weren’t possible in the former office, along with easier access in a more convenient location.

“We’ve received such a warm welcome in Eden Prairie and have enjoyed becoming part of this community,” said Branch Manager Carina Vandenakker. “We’re excited to return that hospitality to new and existing members in a more convenient and accommodating space.”

Veridian will begin construction soon at 11801 Arbor Lakes Pkwy in Maple Grove, with opening expected in late 2026, and at 17942 Cedar Ave. in Lakeville, with an opening planned for summer 2027. Both will be 3,100 sq. ft. with a three-lane drive-up and an exterior 24-hour ATM.

“These new branches will help us expand access to simple, helpful and in-person financial services that are designed in members’ best interests,” said Tom Fleck, Veridian’s Twin Cities Regional Manager. “It’s an exciting time of growth, and we’re eager to become part of these communities.”

Veridian’s Minnesota expansion is underway while the credit union receives a series of industry recognitions. Forbes recently named Veridian the #1 “Best-in-State Credit Union” in both Iowa and Nebraska for the second year in a row. Freddie Mac named Veridian a 2026 Hope Possible RISE Award recipient for fastest growth in Home Possible Mortgages to make homeownership more affordable for low-income borrowers. Callahan & Associates, a research and consulting firm specializing in the credit union industry, ranked Veridian third among all U.S. credit unions for returning value to members in the first quarter of 2026.

Employees in Eden Prairie celebrated the new Flying Cloud branch with random acts of kindness and donations to two local nonprofit organizations, including Move Forward and Onward Eden Prairie.  Each organization received $2,500 to support their service to local at-risk youth and young adults. A grand opening celebration is set for August 3-7, with daily gifts, prizes and refreshments.

Veridian Credit Union, founded in 1934 in Waterloo, Iowa, is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by the people who use its products and services - its members. Nationally recognized among the top credit unions in the U.S. for returning value, Veridian offers a full range of business and consumer financial services with 32 branches across Iowa, eastern Nebraska and the Twin Cities metro area.  For more information, visit veridiancu.org or call (800) 235-3228.
