Vermont Federal Credit Union is the presenting sponsor of annual feed your neighbor food drive
BURLINGTON, VT (December 23, 2015) — On Wednesday, November 25th, Vermont Federal Credit Union was the presenting sponsor of the Feed Your Neighbor Food Drive to benefit the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf.
On the day before Thanksgiving, Vermont Federal joined radio stations 99.9 The Buzz and 106.7 WIZN at Costco in Colchester, from 10 AM to 4 PM, to support the Feed Your Neighbor Food Drive. Credit Union staff spent the day collecting non-perishable food items as well as cash donations, to benefit the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf. Volunteers provided suggested items to donate and those who contributed received reusable Vermont Federal tote bags as a thank you.
This year’s food drive raised 4,301 pounds of food and $642.78 in cash, equating to 1,928.34 additional pounds of food for a total of 6,229.34 pounds donated.
