Vermont Federal Credit Union’s Suzanne Lynn recognized as a Citizen of the Year

Suzanne Lynn, the Secretary of Vermont Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors, was recently presented with the Rotary Club’s Citizen of the Year award.

Suzanne Lynn, along with her husband, Emerson, were both recently presented with the Rotary Club’s Citizens of the Year awards. In attendance at the recent ceremony were FCIDC director and the St. Albans City Mayor, Tim Smith, Rotarian Warren Hamm and Rotarian Tom Hungerford.

The Rotary Club of St. Alban’s Citizen of the Year award recognizes community members deemed to be “pillars in our community” due to their services. Suzanne and her husband were recognized for their ownership and management of the St. Albans Messenger, a newspaper that former St. Albans City Mayor Liz Gamache described as “the thread that holds the fabric of our community together”.

Tim Smith, St. Albans City’s current mayor and the director of the Franklin County Industrial Development Corporation, referenced the Discover Northwest Vermont area guide, a tourism publication designed to draw tourists from Northwest Vermont, as an example of the Lynn’s dedication to Franklin County as a whole.

“Emerson and Suzanne didn’t have to do this – this is a lot of work – but they did it for the betterment of the community”, Smith said. Suzanne Lynn has held the role of Secretary of the Board of Directors at Vermont Federal Credit Union since 2015.
