Vibe Credit Union’s Community Impact Day to bring communities together and families home
NOVI, MI (October 10, 2023) — Vibe Credit Union and Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County shaped a brighter tomorrow for countless individuals and families during the credit union’s first annual Community Impact Day. This extraordinary event brought 238 dedicated Vibe employees together to elevate its community and create life-changing opportunities for those in need.
Vibe joined hands with Habitat for Humanity with a shared hope to build strength, stability, and self reliance through affordable housing. Together, they made a lasting impact in Waterford, Pontiac, Farmington Hills, and Southfield, where 12 different Habitat for Humanity locations hosted Vibe’s employee volunteers during Impact Day.
Scott Milliken, Habitat Oakland’s Chief Operations Officer, said, “It’s truly wonderful to witness the collaboration of all the volunteers coming together. This enables us to sustain these efforts and strategize in the background on how we can continue moving forward, ensuring everyone works together to have an even greater impact.”
What made “Impact Day” exceptional was the diversity of tasks Vibe’s employees tackled in just one day. From landscaping and interior demolition to painting and flooring in remodels and new builds, warehouse organization, and food pantry support. Each volunteer played an important role in revitalizing these communities. The collective effort and enthusiasm of Vibe employees are sure to have brought a ray of hope into the lives of those who need it most.
Chaz Rzewnicki, CEO of Vibe Credit Union, said, “At Vibe, it’s not just about financial transactions; it’s about building stronger communities and supporting organizations that share our vision of turning dreams into reality. Community Impact Day exemplifies this commitment, demonstrating that we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with those who seek to overcome challenges and make a positive difference in the community.”
Since January 1, 2023, Vibe has supported 228 organizations and contributed over 4,000 hours of community service with the help of its employees.
