Vibrant team members plunge for a cause

MOLINE, IL (March 23, 2017) — Last week twenty five Vibrant Credit Union team members jumped into the chilly 41 degree Wick’s Lake in Rock Island, IL. You could say they were freezin’ for a reason.

The annual Polar Plunge was held to benefit Special Olympics.

Some participants jumped, some ran, and some kind of hopped and flopped around (check out the pictures for evidence). But it’s not about being graceful, it’s all about the cause. At the end of the day the event raised more than $52,000.

“We really think this is a worthwhile charity, and Vibrant is all about depositing back into our community,” shared Matt McCombs, Vibrant’s President/CEO. “We love having fun, especially for a great cause.”

Vibrant took part in this annual event because every dollar is crucial to providing the Illinois Special Olympics the ability to give year-round training and competition for its participants.
