ViennaTysons Chamber of Commerce Honors Northwest FCU and Northwest FCU Foundation

Herndon, VA – Northwest Federal Credit Union (NWFCU) and Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation (NWFCU Foundation) were honored as the Best Financial Institution at the ViennaTysons Regional Chamber of Commerce annual Youth and Education luncheon. The luncheon, an annual event, recognizes local Vienna, Virginia schools with students participating in specialized exhibitions. Over 190 students attended this year’s luncheon.
 
At the luncheon, banks and credit unions competed against each other, marketing their financial institution’s products and services and encouraging students to open an account using monopoly money. Students visited each credit union and bank, opening their account with the credit union or bank they believed to be the best financial institution. In addition to depositing their “money” with the best financial institution, students evaluated the credit unions and banks on their products and services. NWFCU and NWFCU Foundation staff worked diligently with the students, teaching the importance of saving, spending and sharing money wisely.  NWFCU and NWFCU Foundation swept all three categories voted on by the students: Best Service, Best Product and Best Overall Financial Institution.
