During its Annual Meeting yesterday, May 6, members of Wausau City Employees Credit Union (WCECU) voted in favor of merging with Connexus Credit Union.  As such, effective June 1, all current WCECU members will become members of Connexus, and anyone in WCECU’s current field of membership (employees of the City of Wausau and their families) will be invited to join Connexus Credit Union.

“The upcoming retirement of WCECU’s president as well as an overall desire to offer our members a more robust line of products and services prompted this decision,” states Barb Schmidt, WCECU’s Board Chair. “Connexus has a 75-year history of working with select employee groups and providing customized solutions and outstanding service.  As we thoughtfully considered this decision and who would provide the best experience for our members, Connexus was the obvious choice.”

“We are excited to welcome members of Wausau City Employees Credit Union into our Connexus family,” says Dave Christenson, Connexus President/CEO.  “We congratulate Judy Westphal on her retirement and thank WCECU’s Board and members for the confidence they’ve placed in us to serve their needs.”
