West York Area School District Employees Federal Credit Union is now part of First Capital Federal Credit Union!

On July 1, 2020, West York Area School District Employees Federal Credit Union members officially became members of First Capital Federal Credit Union.

“Thank you for all your hard work through this merger process,” said Craig Smith, Board Chairman of West York Area School District Employees Federal Credit Union. “It is the end of a journey for this credit union founded by five teachers in 1965, but it’s time for a new beginning.”

“First Capital is pleased to welcome the West York Area School District Employees Federal Credit Union members,” said Sue DeStephano, President/CEO. “During the month of July we are holding special Member Appreciation Days to showcase our products and services and introduce them to First Capital.”

We strive to support initiatives that enhance the well-being, education, and development of our community, fostering a stronger, more vibrant future. Founded by First Capital Federal Credit Union in 2024, the Foundation receives ongoing support from the Credit Union, as well as donors and community members.
