Xpress Data, Inc. (XDI), the only company in the nation specializing exclusively in the production and delivery of credit union notices, statements, and other event-driven member correspondence, announced today that they have opened a new facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. Their XDI East facility is now fully operational and adds increased capacity along with full featured Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity. To date about 25% of their highly automated production capabilities have been transferred to XDI East and their goal is to achieve equilibrium with their San Diego headquarters by the Summer of 2019. To help get the new facility up and running smoothly, eight experienced XDI employees moved to Charlotte and will permanently relocate there to ensure long term operational excellence.
The new 25,500-square foot facility is exactly configured with the same state-of-the-art equipment as XDI’s West Coast headquarters, so for all practical purposes it is a mirror image. In action, this means that for any reason (e.g., load balancing needs, weather delays, natural disasters, etc.), XDI would be able to ensure uninterrupted service to their clients. Mike Cooper, President/CEO of XDI, states that “we can literally flip a switch and move both digital and traditional paper member correspondence communications production between facilities thanks to our “active-active” configuration and expansive bandwidth capacities.” Additionally, Cooper notes that “with our San Diego facility near capacity due to our record client growth, we needed more space and the East Coast was a great fit for us because about half of our credit union clients are located there. This is another step in the continued growth and development of XDI and our ability to provide an unparalleled level of service.”
