YCCU CEO Talks the Value Of Saving
Mark S. O’Bryan, YOUR Community Credit Union President and CEO, made a presentation to freshmen students at Coppell High School about the importance of saving and life’s surprises. The freshmen students are part of a class called “Teen Leadership” and study life skills during the school year.
Mark’s presentation takes students on “life’s journey” beginning with college and working its way through getting a job, getting married, having children – right in to retirement. He didn’t leave out some of the unexpected surprises along the way.
The presentation was quite an eye opener for some students. All agreed that the presentation was great.
Each student was presented a $5 bill at the beginning of the presentation and was strongly encouraged by their teacher to either save the money for those that already have an account and to open an account for that did not yet have a savings.
The credit union will be presenting more educational sessions in the future.
