YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing honors Kelli Ellsworth-Etchison, LAFCU, with C. Colton Carr Volunteer of the Year Award

LANSING, MI (December 22, 2016) — The YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing honored Kelli Ellsworth-Etchison with the 35th Annual C. Colton Carr Volunteer of the Year Award during the YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing’s Holiday Board Dinner in December. This award is the highest volunteer award given by the YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing and an opportunity to recognize the volunteer who has “raised the bar” for what is possible when serving the growing needs of the community through mission-based impact programs.

Ellsworth-Etchison is the senior vice president of marketing at LAFCU. Her YMCA service in the past eight years includes board chairperson, leading fundraising campaigns, serving on multiple committees and providing visionary leadership in her work with the Board of Directors. Ellsworth-Etchison’s compassion for others and dedication to community service combine to make her an invaluable asset to the YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing. The award is based on her service and exemplifies the leadership of C. Colton Carr, who also was a past board chair and a 27-year volunteer leader for the organization.

“It is an honor and privilege to have Kelli as part of the YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing family and to recognize her with the highest award that is presented to a volunteer. Kelli’s enthusiastic leadership, along with her selfless service to others, makes her a great role model and inspiration for our staff and volunteers. We feel fortunate to have Kelli Ellsworth-Etchison involved and engaged with the Y,” said Jeff Scheibel, president & CEO of the YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing.
