Small-Biz Capital, Economic Policy On Hearing Slate
Economic policy and ways to increase capital for small businesses will be addressed in hearings slated this week in Senate and House committees.
NAFCU lobbyists will be monitoring these hearings, along with tomorrow’s Senate Banking subcommittee hearing on reverse mortgages, for any implications they may hold for credit unions and the financial services industry at large.
Tomorrow, the Senate Banking Subcommittee on Economic policy will hear from the subjects of a documentary movie, “American Winter,” in “State of the American Dream: Economic Policy and the Future of the Middle Class.” Additional witnesses come from Princeton University, public policy groups and the Nevada governor’s economic development office.
On Thursday, the House Small Business Subcommittee on Investigations, Oversight and Regulations holds a hearing, “Financing America’s Small Businesses: Innovative Ideas for Raising Capital.” Small-business owners are the featured witnesses.
